NAPERVILLE, IL --- Chocolate lovers can satisfy their cravings during Naperville's 5th Annual Chocolate Walk. The event, slated for Feb. 8, includes stops at shops throughout downtown Naperville to enjoy rich chocolate goodies, baked treats, and more.
February can be a dreary month but visitors to downtown Naperville can have their spirits lifted by the Chocolate Walk supporting 360 Youth services, a local nonprofit agency that provides mental health counseling, substance use prevention education, and housing for area youth experiencing homelessness.
More than twenty chocolate stops will be scheduled in the downtown area. The walk kicks off at 12 p.m. in downtown Naperville, where participants will get a souvenir tin to fill with chocolates and a map to the sweetest destinations in downtown Naperville.
Participants who purchase tickets will check in for the event at MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company on Water Street beginning at noon. The goal is for participants to visit each Chocolate Stop between noon and 5 p.m. to collect all their sweet giveaways.
Many of the usual sweet providing businesses are already signed up as Chocolate Stops like, Le Chocolat, Naper Nuts & Sweets, Kilwins, Sweet Home Gelato, and Cookie Dough Creations. Chocolate Walkers will also gather treats at Catch 35, Pinot's Pallete, and SixtyFour Wine Bar. Innovative Dental, a dedicated supporter of 360 Youth Services, is on the map this year and Two Boston's will be providing carob treats again so your fur babies aren't left out. Delight in deliciously unique offerings such as White Chocolate Mac-n-Cheese served by Everdine's Grilled Cheese. More downtown Naperville businesses are being added to the map daily.
Tickets to the tour are limited so snag a spot now. When purchasing tickets, don't forget to pick up some raffle tickets too! This year the Chocolate Walk Raffle is a luxury spa getaway for two. Winner does not need to be present and will be selected on Facebook Live at the end of the chocolate walk at Midici Pizza. You and a friend or loved one could win an overnight at Eaglewood Resort and Spa in Itasca, IL with breakfast and $400 in Spa Credit.
360 Youth Services is still accepting volunteers to be "Chocolate Hosts" to hand out chocolate and put smiles on faces! Families are encouraged to volunteer together. Three hour shifts are available – sign up here or contact Sandy Kazenko, special events and communications coordinator skazenko@360youthservices.org
